For most of finance, the best yields are reserved for the biggest balance sheets. Minimum ticket sizes, accreditation walls, and operational overhead mean the small holder is quietly excluded from the very instruments that compound fastest.

A tokenized treasury or private credit position can be split into units small enough that a few dollars participate. The minimum ticket does not vanish because someone lowered it — it vanishes because the asset itself became divisible to the cent.

When the floor drops that low, the long tail of small holders can finally pool into the same instrument an institution uses. Their aggregate is large; their entry is trivial.

Here is the swarm again. Individually, a retail holder cannot access, custody, or negotiate institutional yield. Pooled through a token and its treasury, those same holders collectively are the institution — owning the asset, earning the yield, governing the terms.

The grassroots do not ask permission to join. They converge into the structure that was previously closed to them.

What has to be true

For grassroots yield to be real and not a marketing line, three things must hold: the underlying asset must be genuine, the pooling must be transparent on-chain, and the yield must actually flow back to holders. Strip any one away and it is just a token with a story.
